In a dominant display, the English national team wrapped up another triumph against Albania, with several squad members turning in standout performances on the pitch.

Starting XI

Dean Henderson Not a save required before the break before forced to intervene from Arbër Hoxha’s curling effort. A sliding intervention on an Albanian attacker demonstrated sharp game intelligence. 6/10

Jarell Quansah Challenged by Albania’s main danger in their forward. Started more centrally early on later drifted out wide after a teammate was introduced. Seven

John Stones Advanced forward when in possession, something he's known for before. On occasion seemed hesitant on the ball and the tactic abandoned by the interval. Six

The tall defender A nuisance on corners and free-kicks, per usual, perhaps is another option to his teammate in the backline as opposed to paired with him. One wayward pass later in the match came close to the first goal for Albania. 6

Nico O’Reilly A further composed performance from the rising star after his initial appearance versus Serbia. A teammate failed to make the most of a gorgeous backheel over their defense. The left-back spot looks secure at this stage. 7

Adam Wharton His first start with the national team. A bit loose on the ball though his whipped deliveries caused problems. An effective pace-controller for the manager to call upon against teams who drop deep. Cautioned after a reckless challenge. Six

The midfielder Crosses on corner kicks and free kicks were dangerous. Had room to move down the left flank but was in an offside position when the ball arrived in front of goal. Given a merited break on the hour mark. 6

Jude Bellingham Functioned in a forward spot down the right and did plenty of the hard yards. Showed glimpses of brilliance and scuffed a shot wide. Replaced in the closing stages by Rogers, his competition, after being booked. 7/10

The winger Had England’s clearest opportunity of the first half, his effort excellently kept out by the opposing goalkeeper. With Quansah hanging back, it fell to him to stretch the play down the right side but his crosses from wide areas were hit and miss. Replaced with 15 to go. 6/10

The captain The decisive figure scoring seventy-seventh and seventy-eighth strikes in an England shirt. The first a typical poacher’s finish while the second a superb header following a clever run off his defender. Now 32, he continues to improve and England stand a real opportunity in future competitions when he's in the team. 8

Eberechi Eze Had difficulty to influence play from the left. Had a good opening following a pass by the midfielder however Strakosha denied him. His replacement made much more of an impact in his place. 5/10

• Foden (replacing Rice on 63 minutes) Appeared sharp and linked up effectively with the striker in a natural spot, 6
• Saka (on for the winger at the 63-minute mark) Missed opportunities yet his delivery created the first goal, 6
• Rashford (for Bowen with 15 left) Energetic after coming on assisting Kane’s second with a brilliant delivery to the far post, 7
• Elliot Anderson (on for the midfielder in the 75th minute) Appears comfortable so soon, 6/10
• Morgan Rogers (replacing the star with minutes remaining) Insufficient minutes to make an impact, 6/10
